Scholarships
Are you an ambitious international student with an offer to study at Newcastle University International Study Centre? Then you may be eligible to receive up to £5,000 towards your tuition fees at the study centre.
Plus, when you successfully complete your course and start your degree at Newcastle University, further progression scholarships are available.
What scholarships are available?
International Foundation Joint Venture Scholarship (Part 1)
A £5,000 one-off tuition fee reduction to help towards your first year of study at Newcastle University International Study Centre. A further £5,000 will be deducted from your university tuition fees when you progress to Year 1 of your Newcastle University degree.
Application deadlines: 31 March (September intake) and 30 November (January intake)
To be considered for an International Foundation Scholarship, you must hold an offer to study an International Foundation programme at Newcastle University International Study Centre for the September 2025 intake. Exceptions apply.

Regional scholarship
Up to £4,000 one-off tuition fee reduction to help towards your first year of study at Newcastle University International Study Centre.
To be considered for a Regional Scholarship, you must hold an offer to study at Newcastle University International Study Centre. If you’re using an education counsellor, contact them to apply.
Progression scholarships
Newcastle University offers a range of scholarships when you progress to your degree, making studying at this world-class Russell Group university more affordable.
Progression scholarships you may be able to receive:
Vice Chancellor Scholarships – £3,000 (guaranteed for all students upon progression to Newcastle University, no application required)
International Foundation Joint Venture Scholarship (Part 2) – £5,000.
Enhanced Progression Scholarships – up to £8,000 over the course of your degree.
